Fish River Lodge is situated in the 45 000 hectare Canyon Nature Park and is a partner in the Greater Fish River Complex, a public private partnership that aims to co manage the greater Fish River Canyon Complex for enhanced landscape and biodiversity conservation and social economic development.
A land-use plan is being developed by a professional ecologist to ensure that only a small portion of the land is used for tourism infrastructure and to protect this special piece of southern Africa and manage and conserve the habitat and eco systems occurring there, whilst creating employment for Namibians in the south. Ecolodgistix is a young and dynamic company that successfully manages three other Lodges in Namibia; Desert Homestead and Horse Trails near Sossusvlei, Grootberg Lodge in Kunene Region and River Crossing in Windhoek.
